The Bliss Christian Fellowsip Church (BCFC) is a small group of
Christian believers congregating at the multi-purpose chapel located at the
center of the Teachers' Bliss Condominium II, a low-cost housing project
of the government for public school teachers, and lately, members of
the police force; which is situated at Barangay Balonbato near
Balintawak, Quezon City.
History:
It began as bible study groups among some families led by the late Mr.
German Cariño in l983. The following year, it began to congregate for
Sunday worship services under the pastoral leadership of Ptr.Samuel
Gesite. In 1985, it was registered as a religious corporation. A couple of
years later, it joined the United Church of Christ in the
Philippines (UCCP).
At the start of the new millenium, the BCFC decided to refocus its
values towards a more Christ-centered, bible-based way of life and opted to be
independent of UCCP.
Today, the BCFC nurtures its members towards Christ-likeness through
various modalities such as the pulpit ministry, Sunday School for
various age groups, various fellowships, weeknights prayer meetings and
nurture bible study and leadership development and also through social
concern activities. Witnessing for Christ, as a way of life,is being
inculcated and developed among its members. Thus, from an average Sunday
worship attendance of thirty in 2000, it has grown to seventy-five.
The BCFC continue to pray and save for a property of its own where the
church may meet for worship and mutual edification without the
disturbances it experiences at present.
